ABOUT SHANE PRENTICE of EAST COBB GUITAR LESSONS

 

Guitarist Shane Prentice was born in a suburb of Chicago and grew up in San Diego California.  He began playing guitar at the age of 12 and, after relocating to Atlanta at the age of 18, began taking personal guitar lessons.  At the age of 26 he attended the Atlanta Institute Of Music for The Master Guitar Program.  The now 39 year old guitarist currently resides in the East Cobb area of Marietta, Georgia where he instructs his student base in his home studio. In his off time, Shane spends time with his 15 year old son Colin and rides his motorcycle.

Shane personally uses Schecter, Ibanez, Gibson and Fender electric guitars strung with Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky strings, Jim Dunlop Medium gauge picks, Yamaha and Fender acoustic guitars strung with Elixer strings and Mesa Boogie and Marshall amplification with Line 6 effects processing.
